Loved the comment section for this call today. Employees were really laying out some of the craziness they've been dealing with since RTO started. A doctor (of something, didn't say what) discussing company culture and dealing with RTO. A little digging shows this doctor is actually an AT&T employee (figures the company wouldn't risk an outsider leading this discussing given the polarization). Her answers to the employee questions were less than satisfactory, typical corporate speak and "showing up for each other".

Layoffs not happening!
Nobody's going to tell a group of grumpy old demagogues what to do, especially when their stock buyback tricks are working better than a speedcam during rush hour!
If cuts really are double what we’ve been told
that points to something much bigger than offshoring or AI being used as a cover for headcount reduction and bigger payouts at the top. It suggests the business is shrinking and bracing for possible economic trouble ahead. Of course, we can’t jump to conclusions about the broader economy just yet, but it does feel smarter to start looking for something more stable now, rather than risk waiting until the job market gets even tougher.
PQ is sold, so SC&T may get a buyer soon too
