Topics regarding layoffs at Humana Inc.

Humana has changed so much

Back in the mid-2000s, I used to proudly tell friends this was the kind of place you could build a lifelong career. Now I wouldn’t wish this job on my worst enemy. Employees are treated like replaceable cogs in a machine. No matter how hard you push... — read more

CIT Florida

What is the big thing that is coming to CIT? The new buzzwords are change management which was the same kind of talk before RAM scr ew ed us over. Are we looking at layoffs or what?

CEO locating to DC

I’ve heard that the CEO is locating to DC. Has that been confirmed or is it still speculation? Was hoping he would bust up the ivory tower in DC and get rid of the weird gap in reality between leadership in DC and HQ, but if true it sounds like it’ll... — read more

Can someone be honest?

Please stop with the pep talks and change and the conversation from RB and JR! Just exhausting already! We have had enough of incompetence from C-suite! Please take care of your employees and most of all the seniors that you proclaim to “ love”! It’s... — read more

Um centralization

So what’s the real deal after today’s meeting saying UM is being centralized? I feel they know more and are not telling us.

Humana is a Family

When your boss says your team is “like family” that means you’re fully entitled to shout out loud “You’re not my real mom!!!!!!!” and... dramatically storm off whenever they ask you to do something.

This is a long time thing.

Before taking a job at Humana I hope people navigate to this place. The posts you see represent at least the last 10 years of Humana's behavior toward it's employees. You are expected to go above and beyond your role. You are expected to follow the... — read more

Humana Pathways Indiana layoff

The Humana Pathways laid off a lot of Service Coordinators this past Monday. Only offered a 60 day severance pay. What a horrible company who only cares about money for themselves. They don’t care about the members or the employees

More vague transition talk

A mid year reminder of the last townhall transition hints and posts of layoffs here. Meanwhile buildings being renovated yet shoestring centerwell teams in certain places which cannot possibly address patient needs. But hey get ready for whatever is... — read more

Informed I was layoff today

Not sure the extent, but was informed today my last day would be August 18. Likely will not know the extent for a few days, but it is happening now and sounds like people impacted are being informed over the next few days. I am, or was, ion the... — read more

Too Many Clinical Pharmacists?

I’m not doubting the work being done - I just don’t see any synergies in the work. 100 different programs that touch the same members but they don’t care as long as they hit their goals… there needs to be more orchestration and oversight. — read more

Lazy employees

When will Humana clean house. Hard working employees that cover for workers with second jobs, going to their kids events, shopping, all on company time. Half of the current staff could do the job ( which they are doing) while other WAH employees are... — read more

This place is Insane!

My head is spinning as a nurse with 40 years of excellent experience, I have never seen such a messed up company! They should be ashamed but of course they aren’t! Senior focused … what a disgrace!

CenterWell layoff

Is there a layoff coming to Centerwell leadership team? I'm hearing rumors of a re-org and shake up at the top 7-1.

What’s wrong with this company

I applied to conduent that I guess does staffing for Humana. They wouldn’t give me a set schedule. Then I got a reprimand for requesting time off during training before I even received my equipment. My separation date is before my start date. Bullet... — read more

OCD

What is up with this entire organization! One change barely rolls out and then it is changed again. Too much time on management hands to dream up constant tweaks is annoying and screams incompetence. Here is a thought- Do a pilot first before you... — read more

What has happened to Humana????

I was riffed over a year ago and pretty much found out on this board. I am thinking about coming back b/c they're hiring for my old position but I wanted to look here to see if people are still getting laid off or what's up. This page reinforces that... — read more

Incompetent leaders and lack of diversity

I’ve come to realize that Humana is full of incompetent leaders that get their position based on who they know not what they know or earning it. They don’t know what they are doing. It’s very shameful that there are many who qualify and should be in... — read more

Sunday Scaries!

I have the perpetual Sundays scaries, delayed by a day for the holiday but none-the-less still gut wrenching dread of going back to work tomorrow. I used to love my job at Humana, I was so proud to work here! This company has gone so far down over... — read more

Humana MT Needs to See This Page

hey, humana leaders that see this page, wake TF up...these are your people, REAL people telling you how horrible it is there. FIX IT! If you are a senior leader, take this up the food chain, it's better information than ANY of your engagement... — read more

Culture Call Out

True thoughts on Humana's culture please. I'm on year 5 and my mental health has been completely destroyed by the oppression, gaslighting, and overall toxic culture. It's an environment in which you can never question anything. All management, even... — read more

Hypothetical question (severance pay)

Just curious…if you use up your severance, work somewhere else for a short period, but then get rehired at Humana soon enough to retain your previous years of service, what does that mean for any future severance pay? In other words, if you’re... — read more

Funny how that works

It’s crazy how we’re still expected to buy into the idea that burning ourselves out for Humana is some kind of virtue. Companies love to talk about "family" and "commitment," but the second budgets get tight, you’re just a line item to cut. No... — read more

Medicaid Processes/Tracking are failing

Currently leadership is aware of many Medicaid members across all state having more than one active Medicaid plan in more than one state. Reports/dashboards are available that capture this but leadership turns their head "it's beyond our scope" . ... — read more

Townhall

Yet another tonedeaf during lunch inside joke platitude-filled cryptic gathering alluding to big changes, need to live the humana way, and transformation. Any guesses? Sale? Merger? Meandering?

Bad boys, bad boys whatcha gonna do?

Whatcha gonna do when the DOJ comes for you? I’ll tell you what you’ll do. Lie, cheat and steal some more. You better hope that those of us with dirt and dossiers still on the inside don’t take what we have to the feds (DOJ, CMS, DHHS) and add... — read more

The agile people

With so many of us fearing layoff- why do we have so many of these agile people?

No way out

I'm dying to get out of Humana, but every offer I've seen pays 5-10K cut if the job was right, but even those opportunities are scarce. I want to leave but at the same time I'm petrified of being laid off precisely because I know how fu---d up the... — read more

Q1 2025 Earnings

Beat EPS by 15%, slightly missed on revenue by 0.34%. Stock up 4% pre-market (not really an indicator of how wall street will react, though… just wanted to note it)

Centerwell shake up

CenterWell is going to have a major change in leadership again. If you are management in any form, best be on the lookout for a new job. The Medicare side of Humana will inform this change.
