Definitely meet with an employment law attorney. You're position being eliminated vs your department being eliminated are completely different! The attorney can get your personnnel records and the documents to why you were laidoff vs a coworker.

Great performance but laid off?
Some persistently try to convince others that these cuts were performance based. On the other hand, I know several people who were laid off but whose performance was much better than those who are still here.
Any idea how many people are laid off?

Its been suggested that there will be no more layoffs for 2022 - so lets talk 2023 - when do they typically layoff in January? Seems to be a cyclical thing for humana to do layoffs every January, June and November.

Never stop looking for something better
Those who have survived are aware of how illusory job security has become here. I have no better advice than to start applying to other companies now (if you haven't already). You will have less panic attacks in the future.

Does anyone have information on the criteria that was used for these layoffs? In my case I am the most senior and oldest on a team of 3 with good yearly reviews, but I was cut.
