Any update on the F35?

Any word on the F35 disaster in India? How can a $100 Billion jet become such a disaster? We need to see mass firings for this.

Piling on top of updates from this week

Lockheed Martin will lay off workers at its Greenville, South Carolina location. The cuts come after the U.S. Air Force ended its F-16 Depot Sustainment Program contract with the company. The $900 million contract began in 2020 and was expected to... — read more

Greenville SC facility

Layoffs are starting today June 16. Due to depot contract completion and slowing production down on the F16 line. About 200 employees site wide.

Lockheed Martin Energy

Employees told that LM Energy will be cutting 64 jobs and closing the Andover plant as of July 5th. At least they were nice enough to give the employees the 4th of July Holiday.

Losing both Navy and Air Force new fighters

Feel like the company had major missteps. That was about 30 years of work each. Doesn’t seem like the company is a preferred contractor for major defense awards anymore. I’m not aware of any other large defense projects on the horizon either. ... — read more

Since Lockheed lost NGAD to Boeing, which was a shock it looks like Marietta and Ft Worth sites are going to get hard with layoffs

After the NGAD news Lockheed managers seem like they are gearing up to announce a RIF. After the NGAD announcement, I started to look for internal jobs at other Lockheed sites. Internal Lockheed job postings seem to be few and far between. Trying... — read more

losing Air Force And Navy NGAD

Not sure how the company can lose both new fighter programs for the Air Force and Navy and recover. They have a backlog of orders on the F 35 but I don’t think it’s enough to sustain the workforce. Seems like the F 35 is not a popular airplane with... — read more

Hearing new rumors of layoffs at Moorestown

Hearing renewed rumors of layoffs at Moorestown with next fiscal year funding not looking promising. Layoffs mainly targeting engineering, expect L1s and L4+ to be hit the hardest.

Lockheed Martin Layoff 2024

Lockheed Martin is again violating the NJ warn act by not reporting layoffs. LM-RMS in Moorestown, Camden, and Mt Laurel NJ is letting go of their admin staff.

Is the rumor true Lockheed plans to layoff in Marietta?

I work at NOC and this week I accepted a LM job offer in Marietta. If LM plans layoffs if they have not already started I assume I’d be the first to go. I’m going to call the LM talent recruiter and tell them I’m declining job offer. — read more

HR Nightmare

I have tried to get a job with LM for years! I worked for a competitor for many years and have over 600 connections. I have been rejected more than 20 times and was even told that I was too old for a particular position. I know that if I could past... — read more

Disappointing Q3 margins

The earnings report wasn't all that bad, but when I see comments such as margins “were a little disappointing across most of the segments" I immediately start to worry about what the leadership will do to counter it. Sadly, I don't think layoffs are... — read more

Counting down the days until retirement

The only reason why I'm still here is that my retirement is so close that I can practically taste it. If I had even just a few years left, I'd be on my way out. This is not the same company I joined decades ago and I'm sad to see what it has turned... — read more

Level 4 engineer pay range?

What’s the avg pay for a level 4 engineer? I just interviewed for a level 4 position, but can’t find any decent info on the pay scale. I know every employer has its issues, but it wouldn’t be any worse than where I am now to jump over to LM. — read more

LMT STOCK

Stock has had quit a run over the last few years, but the last few months its been given a pretty good beating. Is it Wall Street, or the current state of the company.....thoughts?

Leaving Because I don't make enough to live

Engineer here with 6 years of experience, BS from a top 100 school. I've decided to leave, because the peanuts compensation that I am getting is not enough to pay my bills and student loans. Raises have been subpar and not up with inflation, and HR... — read more

LM

Lockheed Martin will be the next defense contractor that the Biden Administration will grind into the ground!

Lack of professionalism

I am sometimes shocked at how much this company lacks professionalism today. Unprofessional behavior seems to have become very common here?

Stock Price

LMT lost over 7% ($31.00 per share in the last 5 trading sessions). Wall street giving it another beating!

Is lockheed having issues hiring?

I always thought of defense as an escape route out of oil lol but it seems you guys have it as bad as we do. I've checked all the listing and it seems most of them have the disclaimer that all new hires must be vaccinated. That cause me to stop even... — read more
