Do you think with these layoffs happening, that someone will buy or absorb centene? Just was curious would that happen

No they can't sell it at the current price. It would bring no value to CVS, Cigna or United Health Care and bring down their stock price. I could see private equity interested at buying the whole company at $25 per share.
No, its more likely that they sell pieces here and there that are not performing, but as far as selling the entire company, i don’t see it happening
@OP Centene is the biggest player in this market. There are no indications that Centene is preparing to sell in its entirety. It is also a publicly traded company, so not much can happen behind the curtain in that sense. What you see right now is Centene preparing for a permanent reduction in size. The leadership was irresponsible in assuming the enhanced APTC credits would continue. Quick profits over long term stability, with no qualms shedding during hard times to feign responsibility.
