@db
btw. answer before you ask, i hope you don't think that any Engagement Survey results are real... Let me tell you a "secret" :), people don't really think it's annonymous and trying to not be too much negative just to keep their jobs. A bit silly behaviour as it doesn't really matter anyways, good for the managers in some way, to show how everyone is "happy". Same as performance reviews, doesn't matter at all, it's all just a game for you to think that any of that makes a difference, it does not, not these days.
@db
The problem IBM have is much deeper and it was not created recently, but it goes on for several years already:
"Leadership" mostly sh-t talkers, incompetent. Only able to do the easiest thing to cover their wrong decisions.... RAs and job moves. This is running for so long that i think the damage can't be fixed anymore, too many holes in the ship.
Yesterday was a difficult day for Arvind and the entire IBM executive leadership team. Leading a global technology company means accepting responsibility when markets react negatively.
Setbacks happen. The focus now should be on learning from the results, improving execution, and proving over time that the long-term strategy is the right one. I believe IBM has overcome major challenges before, and it can do so again.
The only thing that can save us now is blockchain.
@bc fck off. Real people are going to suffer because of Arvind’s incompetence and failure.
I can not believe some of you are gloating. I have 100% trust in Arvind. A lot of you root for the downfall.
My first line had a team meeting today. I am focused on my work, leading Watson X and learning more skills.
IBM Will recover like it has always done.
We will be stronger than ever
AI projects need clear business objectives and need careful program and project management. This was predictable and a case of company CEO Dilbert like reactions to use AI everywhere
Put them all on PIP
@a5 the Italian Mafia have many ways to make problems like Alvind and the Pipmunks go away. One solution is using cement blocks. They take care of problems permanently at the bottom of the ocean.
@av only $70 billion lost today ? Surely we do better tomorrow and have Arvind and Krabanaugh lose $140 billion. It's only money, after all.
No sweat, Sherlock.
@a6 yup we lost 70 billion today where was that 1 billion going to quant?
@aa yup the sub nm quantum chip no one wants and we don’t have a fab to build it in! Dont ask any hard questions!
Bob is shocked. Shocked i say.
Well, i guess we can expect within hours max few days some extraordinary breakthrough bulshit PR marketing from Arvind and his squad of useless circus to save the day. What it's going to be, AI, Quatum, new chips technologies were all used, so this time... "We've discovered the ultimate meaning of life" kind of sh-t. :D
@a5 Trump is gonna ask Arvind what happened to his Government investment of $1 billion in IBM Quantum lightening chips ? Now you see them, now you don't. The best answer from Arvind wins a prize of more worthless IBM stock.
@a1 Looks like AK is trying to paint it as an industry problem to keep the heat off him…
Meanwhile, SP500 and NASDAQ are both in the green while the DOW is flat. This is an IBM problem not a tech industry problem.
