RIF fellas -Did you receive your severance yet?

People who got laid off in Feb- March. Have you received your severance yet? If yes then was it lump sum or bi-weekly?

Getting lump sum or every 2 weeks $$$$ for severence , pro rated bonus and remaining pto or works hrs depends on state you live. Check for your state. Also, You should no longer receive any form of $$$$ from TMUS once you apply for unemployment and do weekly certifications. If you do, it might disqualify you from Unemployment weekly payments from your state.

when the bank can't get the payment on the long term debt. you will get letter but nothing will come. can't fake the bank account with in dia people. The bank account is the bank account. no profit....no profit... like the star trek fregni say....they are worreid

2 months of garden leave- full pay and benefits.

After your official separation date you get your regular pay every two weeks until you hit your severance maximum. For me it was 20 weeks or 10 pay periods.

On your separation date the RSUs they give vest and the rest are cancelled.

Second severance pay , pay period your prorated bonus (if you get one) is paid out.

Severance Gross total for me was $120k ballpark.

Garden leave is not part of severance. That is time for you look for roles internally and is on top of severance.

Medical ends the month you were terminated. If your last day was August 2nd your TMO benefits run through August and two months of TMO paid cobra kicks in. You become responsible for cobra on month 3. Cost would have been for my family of 4 $2700. Month. Thankfully, I was able to switch over to my wife’s medical benefits.

@a6 did you get layoff during March this year? And your separation date was in June or different month?

After the 2021 layoffs where they provided lump sum (and basically shredded a quarter) they figured out that bi-weekly payments looked better on the cash flow sheet. Mine in 2023 were bi-weekly for the 6 months of severance paid to me (due to my having been with TMO for 19 years).

I have been receiving biweekly i guess. Its unequal amounts so cant say for sure. But its been 2 weeks apart so far and is not the entire amount shared in the severance letter
