Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

How soon do you receive the shipping box to return the device?

My last working day with Citi was 06/30, non-working notice period is 7/1-8/29. So far still haven't received the shipping box to return the company property. Can anyone share how soon do people who get laid off receiving the shipping box after the last working day? Thanks!

At termination an automated system request goes out from the HR system to recover. The shipping box is separate request submitted by your manager if you dont leave or drop off equipment. Once approvals submitted can take a few days to arrive.

@ex wow, so for a 2-month non-working notice period, basically you waited nearly two months for a return kit post-termination, I'm curious when did you receive you severance pay? Thanks.

You will get your box once Marketplace order put in by your manager closer til the end of non-working period for me.

@af It has to go to a specific tech center so even if you dropped it off at your old office, they would still have to ship it. There's a risk someone drops the ball and then it could disrupt the terms of your severance. Best just to follow the protocol. If you still haven't gotten it by EOM, I would contact HR.

@a8 Thanks, I think the manager submitted the CMP at mid-June, she told me the box could arrive around mid-July. I was wondering if I could just drop it off at campus in person.

Depends on when your manager submits the MP request for it. I had to remind them because he didn't do it. The irony.
