I stay because the health insurance covers my kid's therapy and the commute is only 20 minutes. My manager is clueless, but my three teammates are sharp and we cover for each other. Why would I start over somewhere else that'd probably have the exact same issues and no seniority?

Frankly I wouldn't want you on my team. I want my people to believe in Schwab's mission, so much so that they'd committ to it even if they weren't being paid. If your only interest is in how much you get paid, how great the benefits are, and how short your commute time is, then you have no place in this organization.
@ap “submissive and without ambition” is just a majority of people, always has been and always will be. If everyone had ambition to do what they wanted and not make concessions, this company wouldn’t even exist. Like 99.9% of jobs are positions no one would willingly choose, so it’s to be expected they would lack ambition.
Comfort is comfortable. And dangerous. Quietly interview. Then decide what is best with knowledge and not speculation.
Everyone is different! Schwab is full of people like you. Submissive and without ambition. That is what leadership wants.
Thus comfort zone , nothing wrong with it. If tide and time changes you may face serious issue
