With all the gloom, I'm wondering if there's anyone who actually still enjoys working at this place. Not just tolerates it, but actually likes it.

I finally left that dumpster fire after years of dealing with exploitative management who thought they owned us, direct managers who don't even know what it means to say "thank you" and some of them are jealous of those who are doing great , the broken processes, and the constant manipulation, it was exhausting. Yearly goals were just a trap to squeeze more free labor out of us every single year these goals mostly had nothing to do with our professional growth, they were strictly designed to serve the managers own agendas and make them look good in front of top management.To make it worse, seniors were constantly forced to babysit and train completely unqualified hires - they should create official training programms and pay more to seniors for help. In that toxic place, rewards mainly went to the corporate kiss-as--s who played politics, not to the people doing the actual important work..The biggest lesson I learned? Some places only teach you your worth by treating you like absolute garbage. I’m so happy I finally moved to a much healthier company. If a job drains your peace and no longer makes you happy, know your worth, make your exit decision quickly, and don't waste another second of your precious time!
Nope. Everyone hates it. I’m in sales—amount of people I talk to who are looking is staggering!

Yes! I'm a lazy b-m who should've been fired years ago, but now I can not only continue being lazy and keep getting paid for it.
On the other hand, since nobody noticed and everyone has been happy for a whole decade, I guess the problem is not me but management who can't tell that half their team members are bad at their jobs and produce shittier and shittier code with their blind reliance to AI that they cannot even troubleshoot? Oh well.
