Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Toxic Humana is an Embarrassment to Louisville

The toxicity of Humana is off the charts and they have sleazy lawyers protecting them from all their mismanagement of the business, putting greed before member care, and toxic treatment to employees.

Humana, being one of the largest companies in Louisville and the entire state if Kentucky, is an embarrassment to both.

If I was the Louisville Mayor or the Kentucky Governor, I would probably recognize this and put pressure on Humana to get their house in order and make some changes for the positive, to truly put members first, before shareholders, in regards to the actual business that is their mission. And to start treating their employees much more fairly and to tell Humana to have their Humana Resources department to actually take employee complaints seriously regarding their direct leader’s abuse and to stop protecting the company’s reputation at all costs, even when it flies in the face of all decency.

@je Actually, I agree.

It os the first responsibility for a Mayor to look after the citizens of the city or town they govern. And it is is the first responsibility of the State Governor to look after the citizens of the state for which they govern.

If the Mayor of Louisville and the Governor of Kentucky cannot watch out for its citizens workforce and allow them to be displaced in mass numbers by cheaper non-citizens on temporary work visas from other countries, then those two governing officials need to be voted out.

@b6 Louisville can survive without Humana. Humana has become a disgusting place for member's and employees. They are trying to make people quit so they can avoid layoffs. The layoffs that are occurring are performed in small increments so they don't have to report them. Sneaky and shameful for what is being implanted to make people unhappy to quit and lay others off in small groups. All Humana cares about this year is the employees selling their shity products to get raises and AIP, WHICH WE ALL KNOW PROBABLY NO LONGER WILL HAPPEN!!!!

@k8 I really wish Louisville Ky was more like Nashville Tn. Now that would be awesome! Louisville is turning into a city that already is unappealing and will be even more so in the next 5 or 10 years.

Personally, I think it would be a very good thing if this corporation, at least as to what it has turned into today, would go under, even if that adversely effected Louisville’s economy or even Kentucky’s broader economy.

I would totally be fine with Louisville returning to the size of say a Bardstown Ky or a Lexington Ky.
