Team Member Appreciation Week

I suppose this charade is supposed to make me forget that they run me into the ground every week of the year.

Team member appreciation week, the morale survey, and the core value about "supporting team member happiness and excellence" need to go away. We haven't been appreciated or heard for years, and theater like this only makes that fact more painful.

A real week of appreciation would include an end to Store Process, an end to the pointless daily tasks foisted upon us by the clowns at global, an end to labor budgets that allow for only a skeleton crew, an end to the full-time/part time ratio, and an end to wages, especially for new hires, that are nothing close to competitive.

True appreciation from the company would mean that we could feel something other than fear, frustration, and sheer exhaustion.

At global, during TM appreciation week, you should have all been fired in the first 6 minutes. You started running the company into the ground before Amazon took over.

The cheap sleazeball who runs my store utilized an already overwhelmed and understaffed Prepared Foods department for the appreciation week meals. While other stores got food trucks every day, we got a couple of bad meals, old produce, awful tasting canned tea that grocery had a ton of, and ice cream, most of which tasted like cr-p. No games, dress up days, movies, popcorn, or tye dye was to be seen. The disregard for team members is so high from this STL jerk who's bonus is his only concern, that the prize drawing was conducted days late.

At global, during team member appreciation week about 100 employees had to interview for their jobs again. It was 5 hours. You got 10 min breaks if your interviewer honored it. They were conducted by Amazon employees. The experience was terrible and the timing was a big F you to team members

The endless loop of Mackey thanking his minions on our break room tv was enough to make you loose your lunch

You mean the "swag bag" of discontinued potato chips and a cheap plastic water bottle didn't make you feel appreciated? I really enjoyed the crossword puzzle contest.

Ahahahahahahahaha to above comment. I really wanted to move up in whole foods and was playing to make it my career for the rest of my life because of the flexibility and positive yearly raises that they use to promote for being a good worker. That being said Amazon has ruined Whole Foods and has turned working for the company into a sh-t show. I left before the COVID-19 mess really began because I had no confidence in anything Wholefoods does or Amazon does when it comes to employees safety and health. It was very rough getting into a new career path but after some hard work and moving around I am way more happier and get treated with way more respect in my new career and job. Mind you I was A team member who spent about nine years of their working life with Wholefoods the company is done when it comes to treat employees respect leave folks that are things out there

Sad but true. Recently left after 17 years. Nothing but stress and grief from store leadership and mid Atlantic regional overlords. WFM totally changed.

This shouldn’t be! Please let us know what store and team you are on and things can change for the better...we are in this together!
