I have worked 32 years, 15 at BNY and have always received a merit increase until this year. First time ever in my career. I was meet and have never in my career been below.

How it even possible with record earnings again that they can't give some merit? I just have to assume it is the start to try and push me out which is fine. I just need that little nudge like this to go on to a better place.

LOL…inflation was 3.4% averaged in 2024. Surplus adjusted Cost increases to keep ahead of inflation (for food, fuel, travel, insurance, etc) went up 5.7%. Taxes and benefit costs went up - go look at your bonus and compare to years prior. And now we will spend even more money coming into the office.
Guess what?
We lose. We aren’t making it. We are in the red. So much for work life balance.
