What are you really doing when you are not in the office?
What are you doing when in the office? Kissing butt all day and playing politics is not work!

The real kicker is when you see some folks in your same org leaving messages on Teams that I will be working virtual today, Then other groups in the same org are not given the same opportunity or liberties. When it is not across the board that causes huge moral issues.
Virtuals are not sweating and they are certainly not running scared. Virtuals are considered sacred cattle and are blessed with virtual worklife. Gotta love it!
My conexus boss is virtual and won’t even let us wfh during black ice. Not sure who he knows but it’s bad for morale.
"What are you really doing when you are not in the office?"
A lot more than I am doing in the office. 8 & Skate, it can wait.
Get to a hub or receive a snub.
Virtual folks are already backed up by VP or above. They’re in a better spot from every aspect. Just accept it & move on. The only ones sweating are you & most replaceable hub folks, sadly.
Never let them see you sweat, or is it your -ss.
I doubt anyone is sweating…each org is allowed 10% virtual. Those who have been virtual have a VP or above backing them up. If anything, hub folks should check if their responsibilities can be addressed by someone else/AI.
@db That tracks. My neighbor is a people manager at her job. She’s hybrid and uses full time RTO as punishment for poor performance and to push them out. Maybe only virtuals are safe and the rest of us should be sweating.
May not be a scientific survey (but that doesn’t seem to matter these days), but close to 50% of my good friends work in a full-time remote capacity (not at AT&T). Those companies are doing just fine.
Also believe that there will always be a place for virtual but think you will need to have a specific skill set that is hard to replicate and you have high productivity. Kind of like the home basing discussion. Saving gas, going to the storeroom daily and not being available for call outs probably won’t be the litmus test for staying in that program.
Probably no sweating involved. Each VP org was allowed about 10% virtual workforce. So everyone is compliant. Obviously these folks are being backed up by a VP or higher.
If anything, we should all look at our own job responsibilities- if it can be proven that these are replaceable by another person and/or AI, it doesn’t matter where you are: hub or not.
I'm virtually certain that there will continue to be a virtual workforce at T.
Not sweating, just waiting for my severance, been a great run.
That is hilarious because in the Torretta Org they let the virtual stay virtual, and they laid off the people that had returned to the office. Funny stuff.
What are you really doing when you are not in the office?
No, we’re not.
XOXO
@a5 Nothing yet at least not for my group, I know it can end at anything but am 2 years closer to retirement and still WFH.
What happened?
As they should be, it was good while it lasted. Time to comply or it is bye bye.
