If it’s going to happen, are you notified in the morning of your meeting or the night before? When can you relax and assume the angel of de.. th passed by you and you lived to fight another day? Any insights?

@c7 it was my personal team on HDP and it had around 15 of us with some of us being on PTO. But we have been told techs across Optum and it was due to “business needs”
@c6 Can you share any details such as business line or about how many are on the call?
Just having a meeting just now. They are letting go of a bunch of front techs, and are going based of “metrics”
Managers are supposed to get notifications out in the monring. If you make it past lunch you should be in the clear (should be...).
I received mine for what I assume is layoff for 10 AM Central today.
i received mine 30-40 minutes before it was scheduled.
@a7 yes... it will happen in the morning, right around 9am your time either by your manager or skip level manager
I received my invite 15 minutes before my meeting in January: Friday at 10:45 for an 11:00 one-on-one titled "team changes".
It was sent in the morning before I logged on and I’d log on at 7:30am central. However my invite was sent by my skip level manager who was in India and I don’t recall what time he sent it. It was there waiting for me in my inbox. My manager was also invited on the call. The call was scheduled at 9am, right after a recurring 8:30am meeting that I had.
I was RIFd in April 2025.
@OP invite is sent before 9am your time. If you don't get one by 10am... You made it
