Thread regarding Micron Technology Inc. layoffs

If history is a teacher, we should look to the past to predict the future. Unless "this time is different."

I don't think this run up has much more to go. Maybe a little, but it's a lot of risk, especially after seeing how quickly it can drop. I started working at Micron (Boise) in 2004 and just recently quit. I remember looking at the stock price history after I started working there and looking at the run up to 2001 and thinking "of course it was going to come crashing down." Now, I want all of you to look at Micron stock now, and set the timeline to MAX. Compare where it is now to where it was in 2001. even if you adjust the chart to inflation, it still shows a massive bubble. All I'm saying is I wouldn't be long on this stock. I'm predicting a bubble burst in October AT THE LATEST. We'll see if I'm right.

Apple is currently spending $ to lobby trump to allow them to buy from China. - Not even Apple can buy what it wants. This is very telling

  • There is still massive demand and not enough supply.

(not saying things can't change in an instant)
AI is still a massive game changer.

Betting against Micron right now is betting against AI advancing, VR, Video game demand, Po-n demand, Military spending, and Inflation

it is because of the data centers
if that demand goes away Micron reverts back to its usual levels
the question is will the data centers produce a decent amount of profit
