@kn. They want part time flex associates who will come short notice or be on call, and do support tasks.

Maybe they hope to phase out the tenured employees who receive a higher hourly wage so they can replace them with the newly hired lower wage employees?

In my store us part timers are lucky to get 1 - 2 days a week (weekends only). Some only get 1-2 days a month (not flex). We were already short staffed and they have cut hours even more. The core team does fulfillment a few days a week instead of the pt fulfillment people.
