Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

4th message from DC

And so it begins! The long standing tradition of the Managing Partner sending an Independence Day message seems to have been left to DC this year.

What’s next?

@yp , he may think after 2 weeks in a branch he's a qualified FA now and ready to be MP.

I feel so sorry for those who are left behind, slaving over the work for the rich to get richer.

I've never been happier leaving on my own accord. Currently I'm just enjoying life soaking up the summer sun.

I'll go back to my career hunt later this fall. I'm stress free after 15+ years with the firm.

I miss my friends I've met over the years, NOT the way the firms headed.

@11a Exactly. If my house is on fire in the kitchen, I want to put out the cause of the flames and try to keep the house...not pour gas all over everything and hope for the best

PP is sooooo bad and unpopular across the field and home office, DC might be an improvement. Anyone but PP.

@d4 Anyone that worked under him at CITI will tell you what an absolte A-hole he is and his decision making is low iq knee je-k. An absolute clown, but PP thinks he is the key to getting her inside the fancy wall street bros clique` that people like T. Jones avoided and despised because of their greed and morally bankrupt ways. When RTO 3 days in office was announced, he was speaking to leaders and said "Hey, I don't like coming to st louis every week, but I su-k it up and do it anyway." This is a dude who has his own private jet by the way, and has zero intention of ever leaving new york. He has even said it in articles featuring him a few years ago. People like him never change, they only get worse.

If he becomes the next MP, it's a slap in the face to every FA at the firm who worked their a-s off to build their business. How are FAs expected to respect someone who did it to cover summer vacations?

@c7 as if we’re not already in trouble with the current id--t MP?

That ship done set sail already.

@a7 , 2 weeks playing an FA is a joke. If he becomes the next MP y'all are in trouble.

When did the message go out? Was it just to branches or did I just totally miss an email today while collaborating in the cubical hellscape?

There is a reason he played "FA" for branches without an FA. He needed the photo op and he needed the FA experience because every MP was an FA at some point. He is a cross between politician and used car salesman.

I think we all know what’s unfortunately next. He’s peacocking his way into being the next MP.

It’s pretty easy to make detrimental decisions to home office associates when you work from your ivory tower in NYC.
