There is no legal limit on how many times a company can alter a Voluntary Separation Program (VSP) offer before you sign it. An employer can revise, amend, or even cancel the offer entirely anytime prior to your acceptance.However, after you and the company have both signed the agreement, it becomes a binding contract. Neither party can legally change the terms post-signature unless the contract specifically includes a modification clause allowing for it, or both parties mutually agree in writing to an amendment.

You are very determined to try to do some sort of damage control here, by copy/pasting that same B.S. on thread after thread. "Leadership holds all the cards"...LOL

Is that why "leadership" had to backtrack and change the VSP policy, once they saw the deluge of numbers of people who applied for it? Suddenly the "leadership" tone changed from "take it or leave it" (where most people took the offer) to "hey wait a minute guys, we need to change things up a bit here...we need more time to process things."

Honestly, no one knows what leadership will do, and they hold all the cards. Speculating on every rumor isn't going to change the outcome. In the end, it boils down to two options: accept the Voluntary Separation Program (VSP) or risk an involuntary layoff. It’s a financial decision for the company, not a personal one. My best advice is to stop stressing over the noise and focus on preparing for whichever scenario comes your way.

To send out packages and say “oh by the way if you want to leave this is what we will give you”. Complete silence from leaders. Then say oh it was only if you wanted to leave. Layoffs happen, but to not identify skills needed to sustain the company and retain people to pick up the slack causes fear and we see that with the flood of shares and posts on this site. The good news is other health plans are laying off but will need some of these employees to sustain their business so some people may get lucky with a job soon. There has to be some good out of it. Good luck to everyone.

at this point, I do not believe they would do that.

the damage has already been done with their reputation and in order to prevent further attrition ('cause people are going to leave regardless), I do not think they would go this route.

I was fine continuing my employment here even though I am not happy, it’s a job and I like my team and PL. However, after getting the email about the VSP and accepting it and my fate as to what is coming, I have now become very frustrated angry and bitter and really disliking everything about this company.
