Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

@jt I hope you get it. A lot are waiting and I know some who mentioned they want it haven't received it and instead let go of others. It almost seems if they know who is interested in leaving they keep and realize they will eventually leave without severance so why pay out.
The place has almost always been a mess if you've been there 10 years or more...but then you are stuck hoping for a severance. Too many incompetent managers they allowed there for too long who protected incompetent employees that years ago they should have gotten rid of. Now they just get rid of anyone who doesn't agree with the useless management. I've seen too much of a narrative of them bragging about something working when it doesn't just so they appear like they accomplished something. Meanwhile efficiencies some of us pushed made the managers doing the same thing for 15 years look bad so they shoot down your idea. If you just want to take orders and be treated like a 4th grader just be aware that is a lot of the company and it won't get better cause the better people with new ideas are frustrated and gone while the paranoid people keep their jobs but don't do anything.

Planning to su-k it up for a bit and will Wait for severance. I have placed myself on the ‘to go list’ and Worked with SVP to be released of duty at the soonest round. I was once very proud of this place and working here. The value system is effed up. Just not worth it anymore. Anxiety is high amongst all levels. People around only for medi benefits and they don’t care rats about the systems we built, business relations built. It’s the Hunger Games but worse.
Sadly this place is going to the dogs.

@ab I debated leaving without the severance. I’m glad I waited for it, it was a huge relief to be able to move on to the next thing.

@OP my guess is that most are simply waiting for severance.
