Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Do displaced employees have any negotiating power???

I understand we get out 60-days of pay for the non-working period, our accrued PTO (up to the layoff date and not including comm service time, personal holidays or floating holidays) and we get severance. However, has anyone in the US had any success getting anything else? Like paid for all your pto earned or unearned, extra benefits or perks???

I found it disheartening and a little disturbing that I never heard anything at all from my manager after being laid off. Even just as a person checking on someone after something so horrible happened to see how they were doing. That would have been very appreciative.

Nothing ever came. Not that evening, a week, months went by. I was in shock as parting was on excellent terms with me being told to keep in touch.

Im not sure what happened between then and there but I reached back out to them to see how they were doing on several occasions after the dust settled.

No response at all. I moved on with my life after such a difficult time and okay with everything and accepted it for what it was.

Invited folks to a graduation event, but none ever attended. That's fine as it was a great distance for them to travel but I understand too if they couldn't make it.
Some didn't respond, then others went out of ther way to the extreme it felt.

Out of the blue restricted/blocked whatever you want to call it. Never really did find why this person just up and ghosted me.
I guess I will wait see what happens.

given I am a crude negotiator, I told my boss they couldn't lay me off and they recinded the layoff.

The only negotiation leverage you may have is if there are legal or HR reasons.

Otherwise, what leverage do you have to negotiate? You'll ask for two more weeks and they'll just say ok?

As a displaced employee such as yourself, yes, you have negotiating power.
It's often referred to as a wet dream.

You'll get an off-cycle check with your final pay plus accrued PTO as of your last day of your non-working period.

Probably not. You would have to lawyer up for a fighting chance and WF lawyer team is going to win. So you will be out of your severance, lawyer fees and unemployed…
