Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

It's really not worth it

Sleeping well these days? Doubt it. Who could when you're always looking over your shoulder for the next layoff?

Thought I couldn't make it without my Humana salary for most of my two decades at the company. Finally mustered the courage to shed them and can't believe how happy and stress-free my life is now.

How much is enjoying life worth to you? Truly enjoying it, not just putting on a happy face while dread and uncertainty haunt your thoughts. Haven't seen anyone posting "Wish I'd stayed at Humana" here have you? That's because they're finally free and happy like me.

@11g More importantly, keep your soul guarded l and attempt to do the thing, no matter what it may cost you. Do not believe those who say that there is no such thing as right and wrong. That comes from someone that is the enemy of all mankind from the very beginning. Everyone in the heart of hearts knows the score but some choose to suppress it for another choice.

@ev This individual could possibly have gotten lucky or they may be an HR or Leader shill trying to make the job market appear sunnier than it is. I have no way of knowing which.

But I would say most persons that have been gone never were able to recuperate in finding employment on same level and pay.

We are at a crossroads and it is up to this generation to take a stand…if not for ourselves than for our children’s and grandchildren’s sake.

I say document every leader’s bad behavior and also every corporate corrupt and unlawful actions. And when you are dismissed at no fault of your own, contact an employment attorney and present your documentation and give them your verbal testimony and let them counsel as to next steps and options you are afforded.

Couldn't agree more! I took ERP, left 3/27/2026 and LOVE my new job. No stress over layoffs, laid back, quiet office, and to top it off...making MORE than I did at Humana. There are many good places out there. I spent 20 years at H. Most were good.

Hey I get it I feel like I am working in he-l .

My department is now micromanagement central . I HATE my job and the leaders who are anything but leaders . I pray for a lay off as do about 20 others . I would not recommend Humana as an employer to my worst enemy nor would I recommend Humana as an insurance carrier !
