Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT The company that mandates Powerpoint

Fonts and Colors. And has an army of yes people to crack the whip. Spent more time walking the line activities than driving OI there. Total knucklehead operation.

It’s a useful tool but it’s used too much with little to no return on the time investment. If someone can spin up the right power point and the right story they’ll be regarded as high potential and be in line for the next promotion, next connection award, next top rating. The ones that get the work done, move the needle and don’t possess the mastery of a corp spin doctor are regarded as average or needs to improve.

Where revenue used to be the priority, powerpoint, fonts and pointless meetings are the new currency in Dallas and leadership courage is a distant memory.

Totally true. And in the field, we have auditors to audit our cell site auditors. And then finally an AI agent combs through for missed items in the audit.

I’m 46. Been here since 1998. And the stupidity continues since day one. The only difference is that we have so much debt that we can’t afford it anymore. But laying off people will help. 😂
