Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Morgan Park

Got the rug pulled from under us, no longer going to be working from home full-time, actually need to be in the office more of the time. Union apparently knew about this and didn’t object. Maurice is a clown.

@11h they’re just straight up lying to us now. we got a message via our sups this week saying we’ll be in 3 days/week “just like the CS employees in other locations”. They’ve all been sent home full time, and most of those offices have closed entirely.

@ax she is awful. Unfortunately all areas are losing people with lots of knowledge and leadership simply doesn’t care.

@11h of course there is. It’s Chicago and our leader wants to be in politics so I’m sure someone told him to get folks in the office and he complied. I think the city profits in that with surcharges.

If you try to think logically about why only the Morgan Park and Pilsen customer service employees are still required to be in office, you have to wonder if there’s a financial incentive or some type of political motivation there based on them both being within the city of Chicago. It’s so disheartening for the employees.

@ax That su-ks! Can the union come after them for changing your roles to ones you weren't hired for?

The entire leadership team is a basket of butt clowns and Maurice and big O are the biggest butt plugs.

@ad they never gave supervisors an official date. I believe most of the upset is because there was leadership who gave a “rumored “ date to when Morgan Park and Pilsen were going home.

It was announced to all employees that we will under the job titles that are considered remote but last Friday they announced we are no longer going fully remote and will be hybrid.

Educate me please. Was your full time work from home negotiated by your union, or was it something the company announced to you and then changed their minds about? Had you all started working from home already or was it still planned for a date in the future?

They took away our job title and role of Electronic Correspondent Advocate in mattoon in april. We worked secure message only and they made us into a customer advocate II and stuck us on the phones which was never apart of our job before hand. Didn't give us a choice either. They also gave us 4 weeks to switch from a flexible start time to a set schedule 8 am to 4:30 when it was 6 am to 9:30 am start whenever. We have lost over 20 people since May over this and many were 15 years plus in the company. Then after marcy did that to us she moved to another department.
