@fh I worked as an software engineer for PPDM. After my Indian manager didn't give me full bonus and a poor performance review due to bullsh-t he made up, I decided to do the bare minimum work. I did not volunteer to be a tech lead for epics, I did not stress out on getting bugs done within a day, which they always ask us to do. I took my time and overly extended them. I declined to work weekends. I did not attend meeting with teams in India that were out of my 9 to 5 work time, which we had lots scheduled at 6am or late night. Basically when a manager does not recognized our hard work I gave them nothing extra. I had a American manager before him and I always got over 100% bonus and sometimes RSU, once he got laid off our whole team changed. Many of my team members also silently quit. Basically my silent quit was doing bare minimum work to get a pay check with low stress, and hope to get laid off in the next round. I lasted 3 years :)

@fh just ignore the emails and don’t attend the meetings. Literally nothing will happen to you…at least until you get laid off. I am on so many calls that others just blow off so I started doing the same thing. Going to miss a deadline? No sweat, they’ll just move the deadline.
How do all you “quiet quit” when your leaders are breathing down your necks every day looking for you to present reports, visit clients and be at your desk 10 hours a day? Do you all just shout off your phones and laptop and ignore everyone? My last 60 days before I was victim to WFR were absolute H*LL! Daily emails from leader asking for deliverables each day, my calendar was booked back to back with meetings….

I am in the same boat after 10 years of service, I silently quit 3 years ago after my American manager was replaced with an Indian that didn't know what he was doing. He was the worst manager I have ever worked with, when deadlines were delayed due to management decisions he blamed us for not getting it done. And that reflected how our bonuses were paid. My performance bonus was low for the last 3 years. Before him I always got over 100% payout and sometimes RSU's. The first year with my new manager is when I decided to silently quit. I was more then happy when I got my layoff notice so I can leave that he-l hole with all my vested RSU and severance package....
Sounds like you've enjoyed a 4 year severance package, congrats!
