Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Speak up ANONYMOUSLY

Don”t speak up unless you do it anonymously. Keep records of everything and document! dated, times etc. Then if nothing changes OR you start to be treated different because your leader knows you are the one that filed the complaint then file a claim of retaliation through EEOC. If this has already happened to you file the claim NOW! Even if you are still employed. Nike has to address the EEOC and we can’t keep staying silent while we work for this company that allows discrimination and retaliation. The EEOC will starts to see the trend. Do it NOW! We deserve to feel safe when we come to work and HR and Legal don’t have our back and it’s toxic! Don’t make this toxic culture the norm. Remember that we spend more time at work than we do with our family. It’s taking a toll! Maybe after we expose how toxic it is then Nike can actually recover. Right now we are in fight or flight mode and nothing productive happens in that headspace.

@OP 100%. Recently my leaders avoided me for a period of time, learned a complaint was filed. I used the speak up to ask questions because my leaders were not transparent with me. Received a poor review. Now i have a target on my back. This comes a year after I was targeted the first time. Thats workplace retaliation and emotional torture. Same leaders throwing others under the bus to look good, trying to get to the next level and proect themselves. Leaders that do more talking about themselves "brag" about themselves, greater than making positive impacts or any impacts on their teams are the narcisists, are the ones creating toxicity, are the ones to watch out for. Use EEOC to backup grievances.

Not an isolated case. Same process every time : complaint goes into Speak Up, HR "investigates," nothing changes, and if you're still around six months later suddenly you're the problem employee. I've seen this happen to multiple people on different teams. That's how the system is designed to work, and it created the toxic culture.

@OP 100% correct! Report through speak up and the ONLY thing legal cares about is - Is Nike protected? if so, the same behaviors continue with total disregard for those who are violating matter of respect especially when a woman files the complaint.

The toxic culture is the normal. 52 years of this and don’t plan to change. We can’t change this.

You should have ex Nike member report in the speak up portal as a shield,
