Thread regarding CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield layoffs

KS is actually worse than BP

Crazy to consider things could have gotten worse. They have. High ego. High maintenance. Leads with fear and allows ELT to push that fear downward. Get even more done now! Open Enrollment better be perfect! Do even more with less! Get people back into the office! Why aren't we working on weekends? ELT is ramping up pressure across the board and the disconnects are even worse. Plus they pulled in McK and Del because, of course, we can't manage ourselves. This will be an unmitigated disaster in Q4. Disappointing to be sure, but if we were holding out hope for the new guy that did not work out. Clearly does not care for people at all. Plan and prepare accordingly.

@17m "Do more with less!" + "If you don't like it here you can look elsewhere" Solid MBA skills there

BP was absolutely awful, mostly focused on DEI stuff while the bottom line went to cr-p. All from someone who didn't even have a college degree. KS has been on the job less than a year and has an MBA from Yale, so I'd give him some time to see how the bottom line turns out. Hard to drive a winning car when the last driver left it wrecked in a ditch.

IDK why all the downvotes. I guess ELT is on here. I'm a fan of DEI week, but this year's was lackluster. At least when Wes Moore was participating, we had the illusion that someone in power gave a S%&t. I mean, I knew he and his wife didn't, but, you know, sometimes the illusion of promise is all we have to hold on to. Lately, most of us have given up hope. A buyout would be a blessing.

@dh Korn Ferry Qualifications = be willing to call in more consultants, ignore your people, and then push "equity" with a straight face.

Korn Ferry, the recruiting firm CF likely partnered with, probably didn't have strong list of candidates to present. The candidates who expressed interest were probably passed over for other opportunities at successful companies.

Any highly qualified candidate never would’ve applied at this company in the first place. We are all literally forced into yet another year of a DEI week, with each speaker charging no less than $10k/hour while the company implodes, associates are burning out and yet the expectation remains that we should all smile and giggle at whatever rediculous rhetoric ELT spews when they talk. Until the public/members really start to understand what is going on and demand accountability from CF nothing will improve. At this point financials should be reviewed because there’s no way any part of ELT believes anything they say. Anyone with a moral compass has jumped ship already. KS is just the next dictator in line
