Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

“Reflections on the American Dream”

Gunjan has a new video out with that title. That psycho really has no sense of self awareness or shame posting this garbage while destroying the American dream for so many by putting them out of work while sending their jobs to their other side of the world. What load of hogwash.

Ahhhh. Losing your home, healthcare, confidence, and sanity because US Bank laid you off in a dumpster fire of a job market. Mmmmmmmm. The American Dream.

The pants story, she had to make this up!

As Kedia has shared in motivational speeches and corporate profiles, her early entrepreneurial motivation began in Delhi in 1985, where she took a job selling air fresheners door-to-door for the sole purpose of earning enough money to buy herself a new pair of jeans. That first hustle helped her discover her natural knack for sales and business, kicking off a journey that eventually led her to become one of the most powerful women in banking.

To us, she will always be the butt-scratching, bull sh-----g, insensitive, pitifully failed upwards (thanks, McKinsey), non-executive material CEO with a pet called Elcio.

We opened up and officially named USBank India, that’s not the American dream to see our job and our co workers job offshores to USBank India

This is all calculated PR. She is pouring hundreds of thousands into rehabbing the image of a tone-deaf CEO who desperately needs it after the face-plant at the start of the new gig. Money can buy a lot of positive press, but it can't buy credibility.

Between the self-promotional features in MSBJ and the LinkedIn posts lecturing everyone about the Fourth of July and what it means to be an American, we're apparently supposed to forget that her villain origin story started over a pair of damn pants.

It also raises an obvious question: how are customers going to feel if more of their interactions are handled offshore when one of the bank's longstanding selling points has been local service and being able to talk to someone in their own community?

And the irony is almost too perfect. For years employees joked that U.S. Bank was "the Bank of India." Now they're opening a center in India to hire them as U.S. Bank employees. It's hard to tell what's more tone-deaf: the PR campaign pretending none of this happened, or expecting people to believe a few puff pieces will rewrite the story.

She should have said “I’m proud to be a self centered capitalist.”. It would have been much more accurate.
