Don't trust anyone here. People will pretend to be your friend, get you to open up, and then use it against you. The whole culture is toxic.

They fired people that speak up for themselves and HR will always side with Humana even if it's morally wrong and unethical.
I agree. I had. Manager, who was not mine so I thought I could confide in her about my concerns. Well, little did I know that she was turning around and sharing everything I said with my associate director. She probably is in part the reason I am no longer with the corporation. Everything I told her was true, honest, and fair assessments. But just not intended or appropriate to share with others.
Anyway, I agree with you that you really cannot trust anyone.
I think corporations and really all companies of any size, need to try to stop trying to sorta force and artificially manufacture employees to communicate with one another so much. Be much better if we could just focus on the work and nobody at work have any clue about what any other person is like nor what is in their thoughts.
It would be much better if it did not have to be that way and we could all be friends but seeing as how corporations have changed things where you can no longer work at the same place for 40 years, draw and then collect a pension, and leave with a nice gold watch presented to you by your work peers at your retirement party.
Now, you are lucky to stay same place for 4 or 5 years. And it is a “dog eat dog” world in the corporate office place.
Humana has completely ruined any hope I have for trust and normal happy, friendly human interactions in the workplace ever again. I guess now I will have to go drive for Lyft or Uber now or may long haul trucking or maybe give fake smiles as a grocery store greeter or work as a third shift security guard.
I really despise Humana and will never be able to forgive how my associate director, director, and segment vice president treated me in the end. Nor can I forgive that “double agent” manager I had confided in nor human resources for letting my letting them know how I was treated unfairly and letting it fall on deaf ears when I asked to rescind my resignation. The least they could have done was pay me retirement pay, which I had rejected earlier in the year. I could not even file for unemployment. No, I will never forgive this company, NEVER!
