I'm wondering if Allstate offers anything more than severance when laying people off. Job counseling, retraining, anything? Or is that too much to expect?

Former ANI here. RIFed late 2024. I used the job coaching service offered with redundancy. Well worth it. A lot had changed with cv presentation and job searching since I had last done it. It helps get your head in the right place and ready for it.
@sp that service is a waste of time from my own experience, AI can do a better job reviewing you cv. Would be better if they put the money they spend on it towards the redundancy package.
@sp
lol! A lovely touch, how generous of them to provide something the brew will provide for you anyway when you sign on.
A nice touch would be stopping their underhanded NDA tactics where your position is not officially made "redundant" so they avoid all the bad publicity as there's no public consultation. Another nice touch for them with the whole setup is they can hire someone back into that position at a far cheaper cost cause it was never a "redundancy", you left of your own accord.
In ANI they pay for your access to a service to help with CV / Interviews/ time with a coach etc. It's a nice touch in a cr-p situation
Yeah they do.
@OP highly doubtful. My management is annoyed that I tell them I have a plan B bc this place would lay me off in a haert beat so why would they expect me to live and breathe the blue smurf sh-t while he hands strangle me.
Gettin the boot and you STILL expect big blue to coddle you! lol, just lol, stage 5 clinger behavior
The only direction you gon get from Allstate is directions to the soup kitchen baby boy!
