It's the major rounds that happen occasionally and everybody gets all panicked about. But there are constant cuts, happening all the time, with just a few people here and there. You aren't noticing because you're not paying attention to anything smaller scale. Don't assume you're safe just because there won't be any major rounds before September or whenever.

As they post to a board thats been here since 2009, on a website devoted solely to the fact that - yes indeed - layoffs always happen.
They've happened since VZ became a corporation and will always happen. They're not new.
