Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Townhall!

Is this the most tone deaf, worthless, let them eat cake townhall this company has ever had to date? I think so...

@a3 haha the Halloween one! Pronounced “bi--hes hat” - I think it’s fitting.

@a3 Being a business line loner just randomly assigned into another business line's fortress hub, ever since that call I've referred to my mandatory in-office days as "nonsense days."

@ab And who was in charge of the technology?

Zephanie, the WEEEE Brit sitting opposite to Sekou. She runs employee tech and was clearly frozen as she knew it was her org’s fu-kup.

It was if she went into the first call wanting to be a villain. My belief is that will be here short term. She is working on a deal with another bank and will hand over the CEO reigns to someone else will walk away with a hefty payday. That is why her direct reports are sticking around, there’s a payday in it for them. Why else would you stick around unless there was a big reward at the end of the psychotic tunnel.

WTF was with that steady stream of emojis throughout the entire meeting (many of them the "laughing" emoji)?? Was someone spamming or was that intended as part of the presentation? And who was in charge of the technology? Basic things, like sound and mics that work? We lost audio for several minutes more than once and everyone just sat there and looked at each other. I have no words about how inept this whole thing was.

Man, that first Townhall was one for the history books! It will go down for the "everything that can go wrong, will" type of disaster. GK never recovered from it and never will if we are being honest. Why would she? She never once approached employees with a sense of earnest sincerity, honesty, or good will. That's the McKinsey approach. I never thought I would see a worse female CEO than Ginni Rometty leading a Fortune 500 company, but GK said hold my beer.

I don't think anything will ever top the first one she did. Wanting to work remotely is nonsense. Make a friend if you have no coworkers in your hub. I know there was more, but I can't remember it all. The halloween one was pretty good too. "I wanted to wear my witches hat, but I was advised not to."
