End of Severance

I apologize if this has been asked already, but I could not search by subject. This question is for anyone who has received their final severance pay Did you receive any information regarding Cobra once severance ended? Has anyone signed up for Cobra once your severance benefits ended? Thank you.

Call the COBRA # in your package and they can let you know your rates and then shop around on ACA or call WF Via Benefits (also in your package on in Teamworks at home). They helped me determine Cobra was the best option for us and also helped my husband get signed up for Medicare. We had pre existing conditions and a lot of ACA programs would not cover us. Going with Cobra allows us to keep the same insurance cards though the deductibles start over from 0.

you should get cobra info in a week or two after the end of the month your seventh ends as that is when your benefits will cease. you don't have to sign up right away and coverage is retroactive if you sign up after the fact. check rates on the open market or through ACA, may be cheaper than cobra which is basically you paying the entirety of what Wells pays.
