@ek Trump told you he would cut immigration. Only to ramp it up. LOL.
Immigration is a billionaire's friend because it suppresses/reverses wages.
Immigration is the government's friend because it raises more tax revenue.
Immigration is the boomer's friend because of nursing homes needing migrants.
Immigration is a worker's nightmare because it means less:

  • Food
  • Housing
  • Road space
  • Wage growth
  • Healthcare spots
  • School placements
  • Marriage prospects
  • Christianity
  • Energy and more...

Anyone with a rational mind can see that more Indians = more competition against you.

@cp same in the US however the h1 b program is finally being investigated for fraud which is rampant in SAP US. The program is being used for cheap labor and not for talent that we lack. The US is finally waking up..

SAP won't need any layoffs if we just get rid of all the Indians in Germany. Indians are about 35% of the population in Berlin and going to the Berlin office reminds me of fish markets I have seen in Bangalore and Bombay. It's disgusting and they need to leave before they make Germany a big fish market.

@av It's not under NDA if there are public news articles on the project. CK himself was vague in terms of job security, and he may actually rely on attrition to get the savings he needs to pay for more AI.

@ac check the emails from Works Council. They mention 14000 jobs impacted not 14000 layoffs. A lot of area executives use such reorgs to create fake jobs and give more money to their friends and family. I suspect around 10000 will be laid off worldwide. SAP wants to increase operations in the US due to close proximity with the biggest partner - Palantir. South East Asia are already running at less than half the costs per German employee and Eastern Europe at less than 75% cost per German employee. So I suspect Europe will see the most layoffs.
