I didn't know you could feel both petrified and relieved at the same time. That's me today. I'm so scared of what'll happen tomorrow, but at the same time, I'm feeling relieved that it'll finally be over, and not a day too soon. A thoroughly strange feeling, I have to admit.

Hello all
does anyone know anything about the people at Centene that have been there less than 2?
My nervous system is shot from this job. My mind is dead set on me leaving but my body is panicking. It's so bizarre to feel so conflicted. It's sad that being unemployed sounds more appealing than a steady paycheck with constant burn out.
@a8 the best micromanager I ever met
I’m expecting to find out a lot more that are close to my work took the VSP and haven’t said anything.
@ad my business area let us know they were approving all VSP applications.
I'm super excited 😆
@ac how do you know
I already know I have been approved, I'm just waiting to see how long I'm going to be held hostage and if the final compensation package is worth it. if not, I will be submitting my two weeks.
I feel more anxious about how we're going to receive the decision. Will it come to our personal email? Will it come to out work email? Or will I have to wait to have a 1x1 will my stooge of a boss?
I have taken the VSP and cannot wait until tomorrow's news. At the end of the day - the entire managed care system is going to see an overhaul and jobs that are today, won't be there tomorrow. There is a different way of doing things that will replace some of the roles but some people will be displaced elsewhere. Centene has to refocus it's strategy and that's their plan. Losing business in marketplace is going to be hit again because of the political factors that have lowered membership. Centene lost Medicaid due to it's own greediness and unlawful practices and finally got hit with lawsuits. Did they think they were flying under the radar of the government? This is their mentality - we tried to make mountains of money, sc--w over our members and now we burned the place to the ground - time to sell and take our fat checks and retire or start at a new corporation and find another way to play the same game. It's all a drop in the bucket to the investors of this corporation. The lawsuits finally got to them, they will take their $$ elsewhere.
I took the VSP
I feel the exact same way. I don’t regret applying for it but definitely scared to look for a new job in this job market.
@OP I feel the same way! Once we all know tomorrow here is your last day I think a big weight will be lifted off our shoulders and we can move forward with new attitude
Monday will be a relief one way or the other. If you took the VSP - congrats - it's probably the best decision. Think about it - MCOs in the near future are going to be all about 'replacing certain roles with AI' because they've already spent $ investing in the technology. These corporations are afraid to admit they were wrong. It's not just Centene, others will follow and if you look at some of the others, they have already gone through this last year and this year. It's a S**t show to be in this market altogether. I picture Centene being sold now that they've lowered its value and have gotten sued so many times, they're losing money. They are ripe for a takeover. I wouldn't stress about tomorrow - either way it's a god send.
