People I respected, and people who seemed happy until a few years ago. It tells you a lot about how much this place has changed in just a few short years. Even I'm starting to look at my options, and I've been at Optum for more than fifteen years. This is simply not the same company I joined.

@bs my colleague told me about our VP in Optum.. was working and went on business trips while his wife was suffering really badly and hospitalized. Stroke I believe. He even announced it as though it's a badge of honor.
A new VP coming in is always a sign to run. Layoffs and reorganization are imminent. It’s the VPs job to act personable nice and approachable but underneath they are the most conniving people imaginable ready to cut costs from anyone and their family to take for their own keep. This is also why most are divorced, probably extremely unhappy behind closed doors. They chase title and money but when they are old and brittle I do tend to ponder if they will regret it.
