I always assumed if you gave notice at T-Mobile, they'd just let you go. But a colleague of mine was recently on his way out, then mysteriously decided to stay. He wouldn't say why, but he did hint that the company came back with a better offer. I didn't know they did that.

Non-competes are no longer enforceable.
@ah If you still leave after they give you an offer to stay, be prepared for them to exert on the Non-Compete clause they have in the employment agreement even though everyone says it's "Non Enforceable".
@OP It happened much more often in the past, but if they want you bad enough they will definitely try that carrot. Sometimes they just don’t want you going to a competitor if you’re too valuable.
