I'm not sure where to even begin with this. The policy we are now being asked to acknowledge goes much further than just required notice periods. Depending on your salary grade/title, we are now required to agree that 30/60/90 days notice is required if you resign or retire. Any benefits you might have been eligible to receive are now off the table starting from the day you submit notice. You are still obligated to work for the length of the notice period but won't receive your bonus and I'm assuming 401k match if the payout is scheduled during that notice period. If they decide they don't want to keep you during the notice period, they will even stop salary payments from the day they walk you out the door. If you don't sign the acknowledgement, you lose the possibility of getting a bonus for this year.
But they still keep sending those surveys which usually have a question about whether you would recommend BNY Mellon as a place to work. My answer to that is a big fat NO.
