So many people have complained about the Jacksonville office and the new open floor plan being miserable and uncomfortable due to the high glare/lights in your peripheral vision, and the freezing temperatures in the office causing folks to have to step outside throughout the day to warm up! I WISH my band 2 would call and ask why I’m not going back into the office. Our team has open tickets and constantly being told by facilities that everything is OSHA approved… it’s NOT!
OSHA requires that a workspace environment be specifically organized to reduce glare and excessive lighting, which can result in eye strain and headaches.
OSHA states that light diffusers should be used on computer screens to limit glare and direct light.
Desks should be positioned in such a way that ensures ceiling lights are parallel to workers lines of sight! They’re definitely not!!
Facilities is blowing smoke up our @$$ and I’m done. They can stop telling lies when we clearly experience the miserable conditions and have expressed our concerns until our literal bodies are numb from the freezing cold space!
