I did too!!! I think it's better to layoff. Been at the bank for 10yrs never had a bad review. I think think they know all the needed from me. I welcome the layoff but not a fire for bring incompetent.
Time to start using your sick leave and floating holidays.
"they can't fire you based on review without coaching , additional training, and 2 written"
Is that what they tell you in fantasyland? In the real world it's called a layoff and they have your last poor review as backup.
Your mid year review IS your end of year review here. The end of year means nothing. So they want you out.
All good in Albany NY
Did you have an actual rating? Our group was told that mid year ratings were no longer part of process/policy.
Although it is personal, take it from where it comes. When you have incompetent management you can be sure to expect the incompetence to start showing up least where you expect it, especially if you are more competent, or perceived to be more competent, than they are.
You will be told that sorry they have to give so many does not meet and sorry it is just your year. But don't worry your mid year will become your end of year since that is decided in September
They want you out. Be honest with yourself, you probably are aren’t that good anymore. It is what it is. Either give 110% or find another job.
Good advice from OlK4wzj-vvc, they can't fire you based on review without coaching , additional training, and 2 writtens. If you being laid-off that's different.
Did you receive coaching? Do you have documentation? Contest it that way you may get severance versus just getting fired
