COBRA details conflicting

I’m currently evaluating taking the enhanced retirement. One of the several vague areas is COBRA. I seem to find conflicting interpretations. Intel says it’s an extra 6 months of COBRA for a total of 18 months for the enhanced retirement package... — read more

Something doesn't add up

If the situation is so dire why are the separation packages fairly decent? Why let people voluntarily choose to leave instead of hand picking the low performers? Cutting low cost comfort benefits like free fruit and drinks. They want lots of people... — read more

Intel Solution: The Huang Family Tree

Jensen and AMD CEO, Lisa Su, are cousins. Intel is one swift removal of a bible-thumper away from being competitive. Remove wanna-be corporate Jesus, who came from on High like Montezuma, and install someone from the family that shyits next gen... — read more

Pat = ….GOAT?!??

Short is the list of CEOs who have destroyed as large and consequential a company as Intel in such a small amount of time. Pat Gehlsinger may be the GOAT of ruining companies, but he’s laughing in your faces all the way to the bank. What a total... — read more

Stock Keeps Falling

Am I seeing this right? Why is the stock price falling even today when the Nasdaq seems to be up? Is Intel that bad. I have some stock that bought in 2012 -- at the height of financial crisis. The price is down even from then. Can't believe this. — read more

I don't get those who refuse VSP

Do you honestly see a future so bright for Intel that you want to stay for it? Do people really think Intel is going to recover after everything and be a great place to work once again? Seriously, please tell me what's there to stay for? I can't... — read more

Sabbatical Payouts

Info session today said that earned sabbatical does not get paid in severance. AskHR says it is, but makes some ambiguous comment about Cali and Colorado. Anybody know if banked/unused 4 week sabbatical for employees in Oregon gets paid in... — read more

Took VSP today

I have officially taken the VSP. G10 and been here for 1.5 years. ~70K. After talking to my wife and I have 2 kids, I had to take some time off. I think it will be approved. 42 yrs old. Gotta live life

Take the package and run?

Is anyone planning on taking the package and the first decent offer that comes along, then figuring the rest out later? Rather, who ISN’T planning on taking it?!? Anything to get off the rapidly sinking ship?

Any updates?

Does anyone have any updates about % impact for SATG for reduction? How about Intel Labs?

FABS FABS FABS

Pat: We need state-of-the-art fabs at Intel, at any cost! Intel employees: Yes, we do! How can we help? Pat: You are the cost.

Enhanced Retirement?

What happens if I don’t take the enhanced retirement? Would I be on the chopping block/first in line for IVS?

Intel has too many managers

We have a total of 14.7k managers who don’t do any work and get paid way more than the average employee. Cutting management size by half would result in great savings without hurting the productivity.

Worth taking Retention Bonus?

I need some advice. The company just offered me a retention bonus because of the ongoing layoffs. They value my role and experience, which is flattering, but I’m torn about what to do. On one hand, the bonus is tempting, especially since it comes... — read more

VSP: take or not?

If you have, say 17 years in, you’ll get 38.5 weeks of pay, starting October 1st. Then consider the company’s outlook: what will INTC be like over those next nine months… and beyond that timeframe… will they have another CPM action in H1’25? H2’25?... — read more

A world class company requires a world class leader

I meant a leader who can lead and not just talk. If Intel wants to compete with TSMC, hire people from TSMC as leaders and copy their culture. Don't mix other ideologies (religion/DEI) in the business management. It is a business in a highly... — read more

Gonna make things harder for Intel

Not going to apply for CPM VSP. Going to stop working (I am almost sure I'll be picked up for ISP in October and get the same package) and spend next 2 months job searching. No OKRs no late evenings. Bye bye manager and Intel

CNBc slams Pat

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fyDshZ5TXoA&pp=ygUMQ3JhbWVyIGludGVs Conference call was “unconscionable” and “incoherent”. Pat doesn’t realize the trouble Intel is in an he is “in over his head”. An absolute disastrous quarter.

Hang in there!

Some things have to happen for better days to come your way. I experienced similar situation back in 2015 and how I was going to let my family know. I don't even know how I got home. Mine was ISP and I was 55 YO and within 6 months of qualifying... — read more

At least log the hours like tsmc

How can investors trust you are serious about controlling costs? The money wasted under PG could be in the same order of magnitude as Chip Act fundings. Also by taking government funding, you are giving away liberty to do stock buybacks to defend the... — read more

Any VSP emails out yet ?

I think as always we need to give them nimwits time to proof read the email ? Any BU receive them yet?

Total Radio Silence

Funny how the VSP emails were supposed to go out today but nobody has received anything yet. Furthermore no updates on Circuit.

This too shall pass

A lot of people will say "if you're not happy, just get another job" and "if you work hard you have nothing to worry about." For some people, the stability is important, especially with kids. And I think we all know that Intel hasn't been a... — read more
