PC Refresh canceled due to no inventory

I have windows 10 work computer and overdue for new PC. I ordered and scheduled for pick up. Delivery day order was canceled...... WHY? NO PC INVENTORY. Classic incompetence. It's like dialysis center with no dialysis machines.

Can Intel climb up out of the toilet swirl?

Fab as a Service could work but only if the Feds prop it up forever. There’s reason to do that (if China takes over Taiwan at this point of TSMC’s concentrated market share, the US takes a huge economic hit). Is there any other strategy that... — read more

PG’s IFS Moonshot is not investing… it is gambling!

IDM 2.0 is a huge gamble and not solid investing… Warren Buffett preferred to invest in TSM rather than INTC and that should tell us something. PG’s moonshot is an insane proposition and the real investors see it.

Intel has future

Regardless of all negativities I’m positive about 5 nodes in 4 year’s strategy.

Leave

If you have any worthwhile skills I would suggest you leave this shitshow that is Intel as soon and as fast as you can. And make sure never to look back. I know a few people who decided to return a few years after leaving, and each of them regrets... — read more

Moore's Law is a Two Edged Sword

The irony is here is that with each new process node Intel needs more products just to generate the same amount of factory utilization... with chip demand falling 20% per year, and five nodes in four years, the math doesn't work out. You end up... — read more

Is this the goal?

Is the goal to replace all older employees with younger and cheaper (or easier to control and get to do two jobs for the pay of one) workforce? Because from where I'm standing, that certainly seems to be the case. Does nobody at the top see all the... — read more

Asking for a friend.

If you are still at Intel and are there because you honestly belief the IFS strategy will work, can you explain why you believe that? How can Intel beat TSMC who has lower cost, better ecosystem, more nodes, more tools, more experience and process... — read more

HR guidelines RTO

HR released a guideline comparing intel Hybrid work with FAANG to ask more days in office. I wish head of HR and management would compare salaries and RSUs too.

Simple math. Cut the heads now.

In the first half, Intel had $2.2Billion in operating losses...This is roughly $12 million dollars a day in losses! Assuming a $200K / year burden for each employee, Intel would have been break even if it had cut 22,000 workers... So again, I ask... — read more

2021 79B, 2022 63B, 2023 < 55B

Do we see a trend here? Also don’t ask about margins…lol. No competitive products until 2025 likely…AMD and Nvidia taking market share in server ….Intel further margin reductions trying to hold on to the client moat, which is drying up. We... — read more

NVDA to the moon

Joined INTC back in 2018 and been investing them vested RSU amount back in NVDA. Best financial decision ever made.

How’s our GPU business? Are we riding the AI bandwagon?

The Circuit article about Aurora supercomputer looks promising. Are we selling our GPU to broader AI companies? Even though we may not be able to compete with Nvidia most advanced GPU, can we compete in lower end markets?

Disappointed from INTC leaders

On every webinar or earnings call they say it’s macro economic conditions impacting the business. Look at NVIDIA. Intel need to accept lost the game and has so much extra headcount which need to reduce.

The End is Nigh.

Prepare yourself, don't be caught off guard. Y our livelihood is tied to Intel's results so, you should do everything you can to understand the IFS strategy and determine yourself if you think it can succeed or not.

Across the board 12% cuts in all departments.

Picking up a new signal. Looks like the real deal. Confirms? Apparently the first round where ancillary projects were cut is coming to close, now time for the full built cuts to bring us in line with re revenues.

Remember when?

PSO talked grandiose about Intel being a 100B revenue company and we were the center of the technology universe? Ah weren’t those the days! Than we passed on Apple, missed on Apple, got BK, Bob and Pat Missed on everything, a long serious of... — read more
