People trying to look busy

Of course, I'm not happy that some people will lose their jobs in this economy, however, realistically, many people here are having to pretend to be doing something because they have almost nothing to do. For me, not having enough work has long... — read more

A PayPal Guy Is Intel's Chairman of the Board

PayPal is down more than 12% today. The company lost 2M active accounts after it tried to police the speech of its customers. Many left in disgust. Many more pulled money out and left a few dollars in zombie accounts. Pray to God that the man has no... — read more

Since MGMT is requiring RTO

Here's another favourite! Since MGMT is requiring RTO, I say when you see a problem, just don't, "notice," it for a few hours. It may cost millions...Make it COST MGMT for forcing this upon us! It WILL have costs! ;) Thanks A$$holes!

Performance is going down

They created a very tense atmosphere, the anxiety is astronomical. Do they even realize that in such conditions the performance goes down drastically?

I appreciate The Register

The title of their article is: Spectre of layoffs looms over Intel following dismal sales The blurb underneath? Shareholders gotta get their dividends somehow, right? Telling it like it is. We could do without layoffs and try to get our earnings up... — read more

Dignity and respect

“These are difficult decisions, and we are committed to treating impacted employees with dignity and respect,” Intel said. Yeah, I call BS on that one.

We're now in layoffs round 2

As mentioned in February, the end of March was only the first round of layoffs. We're now deep in round 2, this round will be larger, harsher and much less transparent. Additional rounds will follow in Q3 and Q4 as Intel opted for the slow, piecemeal... — read more

Possibility of losing entire groups

My group saves millions for the company each quarter, but almost never meets the metric given (IYKYK). I bet we’ll all get wiped out since we don’t manufacture or help manufacture wafers. Management is a joke, same as the C-level execs. Too... — read more

Lack of transparency

If they cared about their employees at all, I guess they would be at least be a little more transparent about layoffs. Why so little transparency? Do they think that it will save their reputation from further deterioration?

Tyson Foods vs INTC ?

Tyson Foods, the meat processor posted Q1 revenue of $13B, and an EPS of -4 cents, both handily beating INTC. Without a new manufacturing node in many many many years, what defines a company as "tech"? For fresh cash, which is the better bet? INTC or... — read more

Intel is way over HC by every metric

If Intel is a manufacturing company compare Intel HC versus TSMC for revenue per HC, profit. If it is a design house compare against AMD, Nvidia or Qualcomm. Sadly Pat is dreaming back to the Intel of 20 years ago. Tell me you believe Intel... — read more

Intel isn’t even a worthy benchmark anymore

AMD benchmarking M2 now and Intel only secondarily. Of all the 4 main cpu growth categories ..Intel only is competitive in the PC. Losing share due to lack of performance in Datacenter, graphics…. Blah…., AI …far behind Nvidia and AMD. Intel... — read more

We keep losing good people

We've had more resignations on my team, two of the best engineers that I looked up to since I joined Intel recently resigned. I'm not sure why the management is not even attempting to slow down the brain drain. How many more great people can we... — read more

Doing the best job you can

The manager expects us to do our best. However, is it realistic to expect that from workers of this company, with the way it is today? Does anyone still have the motivation to give 150 percent here?

Company wide layoffs announced

No mention of it in ACM .. And Pat, Dave and MJ are all smiles for the selfie. What stellar display of empathy. Go leadership team , we have your back

Email for CPM ?

How are the CPM affected folks notified ? Is it just an email, that you have 9 weeks or the manager first notifies you as heads up and then the email follows ? How has this been working in 2023 layoffs ?

DCAI: How tone-deaf can you get?

In the QGS they are telling us we need to be back in the office, but every single one of these clowns telling us this are calling in from home!!!
