They don't care about our opinion at all

We can spend days listing all the failures and mistakes made by the leadership in the past decade, we can talk all we want about constructive ways in which it might be possible to fix issues that the company has, but who cares about all that? The... — read more

Maybe we should all apply at AMD

I haven't heard of any layoffs there in a while. Since Lisa Su took over, that place has been kicking Intel's a-s consistently, so I see no reason why we shouldn't switch teams. It's not as if Intel has deserved any kind of loyalty from us... — read more

Black Friday

Intel’s fall from leadership is so easy to see upon reflection and also with a little common sense obvious to see recover isn’t going to happen with government money or not. Singular focus on x86, every attempt to diversify or acquire any... — read more

Intel is run by non Engineers

Yes Pat is an engineer, but who is feeding him his information? Case in point, he told Wall Street that SPR was on track for early this year. Clearly someone in engineering had to know that was not realistic. Until the BS slinging clowns in upper... — read more

Leaving Intel in any case

Intel is down its own spiral. Even if I survive these cuts, I intend to leave very soon. I don't think anyone has the desire to stay here for a long time and try to build a career (which is almost impossible)?

Things to be thankful for

Let's list all the things about working at Intel we're thankful for. I'll start. I'm thankful that we're about to have major layoffs that might free me after seven years of having to deal with this mess and hopefully result in me finding a new job... — read more

I can't wait for this agony to end.

The longer the uncertainty lasts, the greater the chaos here. Employees try to predict who will be cut and which positions are perhaps a little safer, even though everyone knows that no one's job is guaranteed. Meanwhile, morale is terribly low.

How many are still left to cut?

Any ideas? Over 1.5K have already been affected so far, and I'm hearing anywhere between 2.5k and 5k still to go. Which of these numbers is closer to the truth?

At least we know we're safe this week

Not a chance Intel is going to pull off major layoffs during Thanksgiving week. I guess that's something to be thankful for. Even if a whole bunch of us wouldn't even mind it just to get it over with. Thanksgiving week layoffs beat months-long wait... — read more
