Our and their managers

Someone asked a great question, how much better / worse are Intel managers compared to managers of other companies in the same industry? I can only say that it is obvious that they can be much better. In the previous company I worked for, they were... — read more

How to know this place has changed

All the people I know who have decided to leave Intel for another job are happy with their decision. Before, so many people would leave for higher pay and would regret it within a month or two. That's not happening anymore. Now people are willing to... — read more

Let’s talk about compra ratios

I haven’t been at Intel for more than 5 years and switched departments but have a compra ratio 90+%. The stock is 100+%. Do new employees typically start below 100% for their grade level? Please give helpful responses.

Don't be suprised by less-than-stellar results

Once upon a time Intel was a place for people who excelled in what they did and who knew here they'd receive the needed push to always do better and a reward for their hard work. Well, those days are long gone. Now most of the employees are mediocre... — read more

Which orgs have layoffs?

Can anyone give more details about this: I can not verify DCG layoffs but I know layoffs are in motion in other orgs so I would not be surprised it is across intel. Now. This will be the last punch, employee trust and morale will not recover even... — read more

Circuit is unreadable

Makes me puke every time I read a lame, self-promoting Diversity article on circuit. There is another one just published. Promoting an IT person. Rags to riches story, who cares. IT org is a disgrace. Why do they promote people when our systems are... — read more

Layoffs in DCG?

Heard a rumor DCG is preparing for massive layoffs this month. Anything to it?

Can you even imagine?

Someone wrote a great post about how one circle of people manages to push through their lousy ideas that cost Intel big losses and always somehow manage to receive rewards for themselves and their friends. The author of the post has high expectations... — read more

Playing dumb to survive?

It made me laugh to tears when I read that post, but it’s really the best strategy here: don’t pretend to be very smart and by no means show everything you know unless you want to be overwhelmed with work. It was my biggest mistake when I just got... — read more

Performance not a metric for layoffs anymore

They won't even bother using that as an excuse. Think SL4 was bad? At least they bothered coughing up a justification last time. Now it's really (fire) "at will", in every sense of the world.

They just published the vp and above promotions on circuit. What a list. One final gift from Bob swan. Horrible. It was particularly disappointing to see the clowns from the dcg cloud solutions team got promoted. For what? Certainly not for... — read more
