Am I the only one who hates “FUN” meetings?

I have always hated these meetings since I got hired but tolerated and participated because it’s not weekly thank goodness. I understand there are a lot of extroverted employees that are remote and they need that interaction but can it please be... — read more

The faster you leave the industry

The better you will feel about yourself and your professional engagement. I’ve worked in health insurance for years. The daily battle with problems at work was slowly eroding my health and self-confidence. It was stressful and demanding, with a... — read more

Surprised no one is talking about the PBM issue at hand

The reason for the big drop in stock price seems to be the PBM issue in the spotlight. Besides the bi-partisan bills in congress to make the big 3 sell them off, even the incoming trump administration is saying he plans to do away with the PBM’s as... — read more

What's your pay grade level?

I'm curious as to what pay grade levels are in here. I saw a comment on a previous post about 'pay grade 24' and that made me wonder who all is represented here. Are managers and higher ups in here or just employees who do the day to day work? I'll... — read more

Anyone under the navi umbrella get news this week on a change in process for requesting PTO? Trying to find out if this is just SNF PSC affected? Hoping others from different departments can chime in.

Another market sent to the graveyard

The Temple/Austin market of Landmark was told today that the market will be closing on 1/31 as it was not profitable. They lost a contract that will end on 12/31 but were slowly admitting M&R patients. So I guess the M&R patients could not sustain... — read more

"We Help People"

I find it funny that UHG/UHC always has videos of people that the company has helped, yet, They've got one of the biggest denial rate of all healthcare companies. Two faced a-s-hats.

Let's stage a one day walk out

UhG as a whole should all walk out and show them we mean business. You can not keep benefitting from our patients and us as employees!!! They are never going to admit they (executive) abuse the system, cheat patients, and deny legitimate claims. Ot... — read more

Witty fireside was leaked

Ny post and he is being roasted for his comments related to preventing unnecessary care and to ignore media negativity. The public perception of uhg is likely going to nosedive even further. Once this goes to trial even more bad publicity coming.

Start looking for another job if you haven’t already

As soon as I did, I stopped caring about losing a job. Daily pressures no longer affect me as much as before. We get so wrapped up in toxicity and abuse here that we often forget that we actually have options.

Don't train your replacement

I remember when one of my coworkers trained a guy just before being laid off, only to have that same guy take his job. Recently, I was asked to do the same thing. I tried to say I was too busy, but no one cared. So, I’m showing him just the basics... — read more

The ethics of health insurance

That’s the only thing that UHG CEO execution makes me think of. I’m on the insurance side, and I find my job very exhausting because I’m ethically and morally conflicted about decisions on claims on a daily basis. I don’t have a final word, but I’m... — read more
