Ive had a contractor slap a 4" high pressure main in Annapolis MD at 5 o'clock on a Friday. The thing made its own hole. Didn't explode like this one though. Guess they got lucky. Gas crews normally tag a crew that's going to be digging near a HP main. Wonder why that didn't happen here. File it under either 'sh*t happens' or contractor failed to properly call in locate tickets and verify marks.

Triple D was the sub under Dycom, that Uniti contracts to nationally. Apparently everything on that road was marked, but gas. And the crews are required to video the job site before working. The video, I’m told, clearly shows all utilities marked, except gas. Told that gas cleared the ticket as no conflicts. But I guess the bore crew knew they hit gas and loaded up and left without reporting it.
The official definition - when they do something good they are uniti/kinetic. When they do something bad they are contractors.
Uniti crew? I heard a contractor for Kinetic.
