This regime tried nothing and is all out of ideas. MFN would have stayed in Washington and fought for not only us, but also everyone on ACA so they woulld have affordable healthcare.

Yes, I think MFN would have lobbied enough to get Congress to keep ACA subsidies. There was a literal government shutdown over it. You don't need to apply pressure in many places to get a different outcome.
No, I don't think MFN would have been able to prevent Medicaid work requirements -- though I think he would have gotten something else added in (or deregulated) to soften the blow.
@bh AND where do the subsidies come from? The taxpayers. The government does not produce that which it has not taken from someone else… the taxpayer. Government does not own healthcare systems. Most are owned by large organizations either for profit or nonprofit. We can do this all day, but the lack of knowledge and understanding on your part is exhausting and helps no one that has found themselves in this predicament.
Take care all, be proactive and start looking now. Much easier to find employment now when you are not one of thousands looking after a layoff, VSP, etc.

I wish that was true, but I don't believe he would of been able.
And I agree with the person a few posts below, he would of tried because he was money hungry and would of attempted to keep the trickle-down money flow of the subsidies to the company and the stock prices up.
@bf Socialism is public ownership. The government owns the hospitals and runs the system. The ACA does none of that. It subsidizes citizens, but that money flows straight into the pockets of health care companies like Centene. It's propping up private insurers, and is nothing like socialized health care.
America truly has been brainwashed into thinking any type of public assistance is socialism. It is not, this is not the boogeyman you think it is.

At some point you run out of other people’s money. As stated by Prime Minister Thatcher. The ACA was a straw house built on taking from others to pay for those that don’t/wont support themselves or their families. Not to mention the inflated costs of healthcare in this country. It’s all a big scam and we are just the collateral damage.
Yes, I loved my job at Centene, but also wise enough to know the COVID level subsidies would stop at some point due to uncontrolled spending and an out of control deficit. So here we are folks. Blame the Rs and or the Ds, but guess what folks, it’s two sides of the same coin? They are all getting rich with exceptional coverage while we sit here and figure out how we got here. Welcome to socialism! Where no one is happy or has enough and we can all live in abject misery. Isn’t grand?!

The old Centene board was a lot of politicians. MFN knew how to work with both parties and get things done in the old Washington. I don't think he would have been able to deal with this fiasco and current administration. Unless he would have been ok just outright bribing the President that has worked really well for some individuals and companies.
