Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

UK, Ireland, Canada

In the All Hands yesterday Niraj confirmed expansion of physical stores to the UK. They're actively seeking out their first location.

He also stated that they are committed to UK, Ireland and Canada with a strengthening market share in those regions.

Obviously there are no guarantees in business but it was a nice rebuke of that "Something Big Brewing" poster on 15th June.

I don’t usually speculate about layoffs but I still feel some concerns around this rumour - from the All Hands it definitely sounds like they’re not pulling the business out of EU

But I believe the 10-year lease for the Galway office ended in May - I have no idea if it’s been renewed or in a rolling situation currently. But especially with the Athens office closing, I’d have some concern over where they will land on committing to another long-term lease in Galway vs cutting it loose. I don’t know anything though so it’s only speculation on my part
