It’s interesting to see hiring leaders into high-level roles with fully remote. Is this acceptable?

'What happened' was that employee retention numbers soared. That is unacceptable to HY. They want us all to leave and the absolute maximum number of departures to be voluntary to avoid paying severance. That's the only reason RTO became a thing.
@cp even though successfully demonstrated for a solid two years it can be done (and the company is still standing by the way).
It certainly came taboo for some reason. You have to wonder what happened that was so terrible that they seem so hellbent to want people to rto like they did and start closing buildings and laying off people and apparently still haven't stopped.
Location strategy came from somewhere. Somebody somewhere pi---d in somebody's cornflakes apparently.
Reminds me of a line in Roger Rabbit at the end of the movie where Judge Doom talks about the freeway and describes it to Eddie. I believe Eddie says at some point that freeway idea only a toon would come up with an idea like that

Head of TPRM was hired about a year ago and lives in the UK…which is definitely not a hub….. Head of TP Ops in in STL and was promoted into the role LONG AFTER CAO/COO announced they were exiting STL. Make it make sense haha. The Rules only apply to the non-favorites because they hate you.
Obviously it’s acceptable if it’s happening. Duh.
There will always be exceptions and it su-ks outside looking in. that's just the real world. I thought it was bad enough they'd hire outside the core markets, but remote is really arrogant.

This is how ALL the rules work. HY elites don't follow any of them, and if the hypocrisy motivates a few more people to leave the company all the better. These are truly evil people who lack even the most basic leadership skills. Absolutely detestable.
